Cutie Pies

Some cute photos of the kiddos!

STAR WARS!!!!!!

So if you do not already know Jackson is a HUGE Star Wars fan like his dad. I had a friend tell me that Pottery Barn kids was having Star Wars characters come to their stores. Of course you had to go to the store in advance and get tickets. We got the tickets and Jackson was so excited. When we got there you had to wait in line forever, but it was worth it. Jackson told me before we had our picture taken that he didn't want to stand next to Darth Vader. Both kids just stared with their mouths wide open. Phil and I thought he may not have had fun until we left and all the questions started. When I put him in the car he told me he had a lot of fun and thanked me. He is so cute!

Ahhh Sleep!

This is a well rested baby!!!!!!! With brother at preschool it is amazing how good of nap she gets. No screaming or banging or brother just checking on her. I love that one! Always ends up in her room saying he is checking on her. I had to lock the gate at the top of stairs and put door knob locks on to keep him out. Checking on her to him is throwing toys in her crib while she is asleep or just screaming at the top of his lungs. Little shit scares the crap out of her. Poor baby!

First day of School

First day of school went well. First thing out of his mouth when he woke up was "I'm not going I hate school" Phil and I looked at each other thinking OH SNAP! That was the only negative thing he said. It was like he needed to get it out of his system and then he was fine. Ate breakfast and got dressed no problem. There was no breakdown at school when I left, and when I picked him up he was really excited. He told me he loves school. Awesome, one less thing for me to worry about.

Happy Labor Day!

On Labor Day we had to go to Colorado Springs for a Labor Day Picnic. We thought it would be a nice outing for the kids and Phil could also get some work in. Jackson was so mad to have to go, since all his friends in the neighborhood were out playing. He cried for 20 minutes into the drive. Once we arrived all was forgotten! They had bounce houses and slides and the biggie was horse back rides for kids. Jackson is obsessed with horses and asks for one all the time. So of course the hour long line was totally worth it to him. He was all smiles the rest of the day. We also took him to Garden of the Gods, which he loved. Our battery on the camera was out so no photos. This was our last summer thing since school started the next day.

Addie at home

Just some photos of the cutie! She is getting into all my cabinets. She just sits there and bangs them until we finally tell her to stop or remove her from that spot.

Beautiful Day in Boulder

We love Boulder and try and go to hang out as much as possible. We would love to buy a house there, if the prices did not rival the Bay area. When college is in it is also a little crazy there. We went to spend the day there with my mom. We did a picnic lunch first and then went down to Pearl street and let Jack run in the fountain for kids. Addie was a little freaked out with the random water shooting up. The close up picture of her I posted just because you can see how blue her eyes are. She looks a lot like Phil.

FOOD! MMMMMM!

Adeline seems to now like food a little more. Jackson dropped some peas on the floor, and before I could grab them crumb snatcher was there to get them. She loved them, of course when I cooked some and put them on her high chair, she looked at them like they were poison. I kept putting them in her mouth and she kept giving them back to me. I don't think I got one down her. Crazy Baby! Baby food she likes, finger food if not on the floor, no thanks. The little blue dress my mom made. I love it!

Our Backyard

So I just wanted to post some photos of our backyard. I took some photos of Phil's garden, which right now I have tomatoes and cucumbers coming out of my ears. We also got a trampoline in the back . It is huge but a lot of fun! Thanks grandma! Phil and I get in there with Jack all the time, boy is it a work out! I have video of Jack jumping. i will try and post that on you tube soon.

Spiderman!!

Jackson has a new obsession. He LOVES Spiderman! He has never seen the movies but somehow loves it. It is almost as bad as his Star Wars obsession. So we just had an Organic Market open near the house and they were doing face painting for their Grand Opening. Of course he had to have Spiderman.

We just bought him a Spiderman costume, since all he wants to do is play dress up. I will try and get a photo taken today of that. I got him Spiderman sheets yesterday and he was so excited. He hugged me and told me I was his best friend.

So it looks like I am completely caught up on the blog!!!!!YEAH!!!!! I will try and keep it as current as I can now.

Love and miss everyone,

Going down to South Park.......

So we took the kids camping at the beginning of August. We met my mom, step Dad, and his other grandson, up in South Park CO. I went up with the kids on Friday afternoon and then my brother and sister in- law and Phil met us up there on Saturday. The first night was rough with all of us in the camper and because Ty and Jackson were fighting for Grandpa's attention. Ty is not really Jackson's cousin except by marriage, but they spend a lot of time together so that is what we call Ty. Cousin Ty was having a hard time sharing Grandpa and so was Jackson.

By Saturday I was dying for Phil and my brother Aaron to get there, so they could divert Jackson's attention. I also secretly was dying for Aunt Jess to get there. She has taken a real shine to Adeline and pretty much will not put her down when she is around. She loves Jack a lot, but Addie just melts her heart. It gives me a much needed break.

I was right, when Daddy and Uncle showed up Jackson had tons of attention and things seemed better. I was a nice time with the family. If only it had not rained from Saturday evening until late that night. Our tent was so water logged Phil had to sleep in the car with Jack. I was in the camper with baby.

It was fun, and I am sure we will be doing a lot more camping, but it is so much work. Thank goodness for my mom and Sam and their great camper!

Trout Fishing

Grandma has left and we are all very sad! We all miss her a ton! Phil decided it would be fun to take Jack on a fishing trip. So the two of them headed out on a Sunday morning to spend the day at a trout pond. When they returned they had three fish, all caught by Jackson. He was so proud of them, that he ate them without any problem.

Soccer!

Jackson started soccer this week. It is so funny!!!!! They play three on three, but there really is not much going on, except six preschoolers running in a group after the ball. The best is when one finally breaks free with the ball, and it is in their hands. They run and throw it in the goal. Jackson scored a goal after he ran on the field when he was not supposed to. The coach is great, he just laughed and let him have at it.

Since he starts preschool in two weeks, I decided to hold off on fall soccer. I want him to adjust to school without too much going on. I think we will try indoor Basketball in October and Swim lessons.

I am so glad he is old enough for this stuff now. He is definitely all boy and he loves sports.

The Denver Zoo

One of the last things we did when Phil's mom was here was take the kids to the Denver Zoo. Since we have moved we miss the Oakland Zoo terribly! If you have ever been to the Denver Zoo, it is quite impressive, and it is HUGE! Of course the day we pick to go it is about 100 degrees. There is a ton of walking. We had a good time but at the end we were trying to get out of there fast. Jackson was not really down with this. We were practically running by each exhibit and saying "there's the monkeys" and then 2 seconds later rushing to the bears. Not sure how much he saw in the end, but it was HOT!

The Oakland Zoo does not really have a big snake exhibit, but the Denver Zoo does. Jackson especially loved the poisonous snake exhibit. I hate snakes, I can barely handle the three tiny garter snakes in our back yard. SO you can imagine how hard it was for me to stay in the exhibit with him for so long. Luckily, it was inside and nice a cool.

Mohawk Buddies

Jack loves when I give him a Mohawk in the tub. He loved it when I gave sissy one too!
